Last updated: December 5, 2019

This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information that we receive through our proprietary platform that quotes and provides pet insurance (the “Platform”), our website located at www.trydoggo.com (the “Site”), and our mobile application (the “App”) (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party websites, services or applications, even if they are accessible through our Services.

  1. Revisions to this Privacy Policy.
Any information that is collected via our Services is covered by the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we’ll notify you of those changes by posting them within the Services or by sending you an email or other notification, and we’ll update the “Last Updated Date” above to indicate when those changes become effective.

  2. Scope.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our Services including without limitation, persons seeking quotes for pet insurance via our Services, persons who obtain pet insurance via our Services, and all visitors of the Site and App regardless of whether they obtain a quote or obtain pet insurance (all such users of the Services including Account holders and non-Account holders collectively referred to as “Users”).

  3. What Information We Collect

    1. Quote Information. We collect certain information about you and your pet when you request a quote for pet insurance through our Services, including but not limited to: the name and breed and birth date of your pet, your zip code and location information, your email address, and phone number.

    2. Policy Application Information. After obtaining your quote, if you choose to apply for an insurance policy for your pet, we will collect and retain further information that can be used to identify you, such as your full name, email address, postal address, phone number, and credit card (or other payment method) information (“Personal Data”). We may also collect your gender, date of birth, age, zip code, and other information that is not considered Personal Data because it cannot be used by itself to identify you. We will also collect further information about your pet, including but not limited to their past and present medical history, and veterinary services providers.

    3. Information You Voluntarily Provide. You may provide certain information to us when you use the Services, including when you contact us regarding your policy or other inquiries, or provide feedback about the Services. We will also collect any information you provide to us when you send us emails with queries, feedback, or for any other reason.

    4. Financial Information. When you apply to obtain an insurance policy for your pet, we will collect financial information such as payment method or credit card information so we can charge you for the policy you requested. We will also collect banking information – such as routing number and account numbers – for the purposes of making direct deposits to you when claims are submitted under the policy.

    5. Location Information. When you use our Services, we may collect and store information about your location by converting your IP address into a rough geo-location or by accessing your mobile device’s GPS coordinates or coarse location if you enable location services on your device.
